Tribute Day to Renaud Mahieux

The Retroviral Oncogenesis team, the CIRI and the ENS de Lyon Biology Department are happy to invite you to attend the Tribute Day to Renaud Mahieux, on Sept. 20th, 2021.

In December 2020, the scientific community lost a dear friend, mentor and colleague. Renaud was a Professor of Virology in the Biology Department of ENS de Lyon since 2008, a virologist in the Centre International de Recherche en Infectiologie, an editor-in-chief for the Virologie journal, and a member of the International Retrovirology Association (IRVA) Board.

Renaud was a renowned and valued scientist. Actively engaged in local, national and international research networks, he significantly contributed to boost and unite the research in virology.

Renaud also was an enthusiastic teacher. Deeply commited to the training of students, he constantly aimed to drive them towards excellence.

Renaud was an inspiring and considerate mentor who shaped the scientific accomplishment of his team members.

By bringing colleagues and students together for this Tribute Day, we will honor all these aspects of Renaud's professional commitment.

Please follow this link to join the live retransmission of the Tribute Day, Monday, Sept. 20th, from 9:30 am.

A chat will be available to share your contributions and comments.

Golden book and donations

Many thanks to all of you who contributed to the golden book. This book will remain open for contributions until September. It will then be printed and passed on to Renaud’s family at the end of the Tribute Day.

This tribute day is supported in part by the donations that we received in the appeal for donations, which is still open. We would like to warmly thank all of you who participated for your generosity.
